Get ready for Halloween sweets and treats with our list of special events to go trick or treating in Colorado Springs! These are kid-friendly events that include trick or treating as well as trunk or treats around town. What are you going to be for Halloween?

You are welcome to wear a costume and invite your family, friends, and neighbors to this Trunk or Treat Event, Saturday, October 29th! Bounce houses, lunch, and decorated trunks full of treats included.

Price: Admission is one non-perishable food or toiletry item to be donated to Mercy’s Gate.

University Campus (4435 N Chestnut St)

Colorado Technical University’s annual family favorite event, Boo! at CTU is packed with Trick or Treating, ‘Spooky’ Carnival Games, Face Painting, Haunted Hallway, Raffle, Popcorn and Cotton Candy, and much more! This event is open to all Colorado Springs’ families. Held at the university’s campus (4435 N Chestnut St) on Friday, Oct. 28th, 5pm-8pm. For more information, call 719-598-0200.

Don your costume, bring your trick-or-treat bag and flashlight to the wildest Halloween event in town. It’ll be a frightfully good time! It’ll be all treats and no tricks for your little pirates and princesses at this year’s Boo at the Zoo, the region’s most unique Halloween event. Boo at the Zoo is a fun way for families with young children to trick-or-treat and enjoy Halloween festivities in a safe environment, and all of our candy is made with sustainable palm oil to help protect wild orangutans!

The Zoo will open for Boo at the Zoo at 4 p.m.

Boo Pricing: $17.75 for ages 3-64, $12.75 for Zoo members, $15.75 Military and 65+, 75¢ for ages 2 and under

ACTIVITIES include:

  • Haunted fun house and ghoulish graveyard,
  • trick-or-treat at spooky treat stations,
  • Boo carousel
  • Pirates Cove,
  • Lighted Pumpkin Patch,
  • select animal exhibits are open including: giraffes, Monkey Pavilion, The Loft and Encounter Africa,
  • select animal encounters with shows each evening by education interpreters.

They will a have a variety of vendors – some direct sales like Perfectly Posh, Agnes and Dora as well as Tastefully Simple, craft vendors as well as local services. They will also have special appearances by Elsa from 2pm-3pm, Tinkerbell from 3pm -4pm, Mickey  and Minnie Mouse 4pm-5pm and Chase from Paw Patrol from 5pm -6pm, courtesy of Columbine and Co, a Premiere Entertainment Company for the Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver and surrounding areas.

My Gym will also be doing hourly presentations of their child zumba class.
Their itinerary has been planned to create a fun-filled day for everyone, so make sure you come and join us for a day of fun! There will be trick-or-treating as well, so come in your costumes and bring something to put your candies in as all the vendors will have candies/allergen-free goodies for the children.

Join Church at Briargate for their annual Trunk or Treat! There will be a Jump castle, face painting, Balloon artists, hot cocoa, tons of trunks, candy, and games as well as a fun photo booth where you can take pictures. There also will be a free drawing for fun prizes.

This event is a safe alternative for children to Trick-or-Treat! There will be several cars parked in a horseshoe shape with trunks facing in and the trunks will be filled with treats. The children go from trunk to trunk collecting goodies. They will also have hot dogs, beverages, chips and cookies so you won’t go hungry!

Join Wilson UMC for their annual Community Harvest Festival! This event features food, pony rides, bouncy houses, exhibits, petting zoo, music, and a Trunk-or-Treat.  All of this fun is for FREE! All they request is that you help them support the local assistance ministry , Westside CRAES, by bringing your old clothes and coats for the clothes drive!  Come in costume ready to have some great family fun!

Adventures Out West Ziplines: 1335 Manitou Ave, Manitou Springs, CO, 80829

Zip or Treat includes 1.5-2 hours of zip-lining and “treats”, followed by a costume contest, campfire and s’mores!

The ziplines are along a natural terrain zipline course utilizing cliffs and steep wooded forest for launch and landing zones (No artificial platforms)! All participants must be at least 55lbs and no more than 250lbs. Closed-toed shoes are required.

Dress costumes should have leggings or shorts underneath to properly wear a harness. Ziplines are not recommended for those who are unsteady on their feet or not in a durable physical state.

Price: $40/person- Reservations encouraged.

  1. Hey there! Just wanted to make a correction to one of these events 🙂 The Erindale Square Trick-or-Treat is the Mountain Country Trick-or-Treat. It is the radio station’s event, they are hosting it and have organized the entire thing. Why Not Books? is just one of about 30 vendors that will be there to give out free goodies to everyone!

    This is a great list and awesome resource for Springs families!
