I vividly remember launching the blog years ago and feeling like I was drowning. Sinking slowly…one post, one WordPress quirk, one Facebook, Twitter and Instagram update at a time. There were so many details, so many logins, so much to learn. The editorial calendar felt like utter chaos to me. I love an organized calendar, whether it be paper or electronic; a calendar brings order and peace. But to be honest, with so much going on to launch the blog, run a family, and stay focused on my business, the calendar felt daunting (and busy).
CoSchedule for the win!
I gave CoSchedule a trial run about a week before our blog launched. An absolute dream! Suddenly, WordPress didn’t feel so overwhelming. Scheduling became streamlined as we incorporated Facebook and Twitter posts with our Blog Post. The calendar was in one place and it was organized!
Here is what the calendar in WordPress looks like:
About CoSchedule
CoSchedule is an all-in-one marketing calendar that brings your content and social media in the same place. It’s your unified marketing calendar of record!
With the amazing WordPress plugin, you can save a ton of time and grow your traffic by scheduling social media promotion right from WordPress while you blog! CoSchedule is the the marketing calendar that WordPress has been missing.
The best thing about CoSchedule is that as you can manage all of your content using drag-and-drop simplicity.
CoSchedule integrates with WordPress, Evernote, Google Docs, Google Analytics and major social media tools like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Buffer, and even Google+ Pages.
Social Media Sharing
This tool instantly helped me feel like I could handle everything. The Social Media integration that CoSchedule offers is a lifesaver. I rotate content to our Social Media sites, re-sharing a blog post a few more times several weeks or months out, and at different times. With CoSchedule, that process is simple. When I schedule the original content, it is so fast and easy to also schedule the next few shares on the dates and times that I choose. They are automatically added to our CoSchedule calendar. The other thing I have loved about CoSchedule is that it gives you an option to schedule at the best time for your social media traffic. I can also post to a Facebook group if there is a message that I want to schedule or have consistently pushed out to our team of writers. This is so helpful for preplanning content and reminders.

How I use CoSchedule Weekly
The key to running a robust business in the midst of a busy family life for me has been blocking out time to preplan and preschedule content. I typically use Fridays to schedule all the social media posts (outside of the blog posts) on our Facebook page. I have a team of moms who write awesome content. I sit down twice a month to do editing, and then weekly use CoSchedule to schedule the upcoming week. What a timesaver this has been!
