In my own experience, it’s always been important to me to take a break from my normal everyday routine and life.
As a mom of four, (and I’m sure my husband would relate as a dad) I feel like I always have so much going on. Maintaining my friendships, selling a home, building a home, children’s school and sports activities, music lessons, swimming lessons, cooking dinner, grocery shopping, driving all around town, working a few jobs and keeping up with household duties. I am sure many of you could add to this list as it could just go on and on.
Recently, I got to the point where I needed to say, “I love my family, but I need a break!”
So I booked a girls trip to Vegas and left everything in the hands of my husband, except for one thing: Dinner.
How I Helped
Now, don’t get me wrong, I fully believe in the abilities of my husband and know that he can hold the house down and get it done.
He can cook, clean, keep our kids’ schedules straight and also have time to play with the kids. But one thing I wanted to do for him was help him plan out the dinners for the few nights I would be gone. I figured he would cook a meal for one night and then maybe order a pizza for another. I decided to help out with that third dinner and hooked him up with ready-made dinner from THE ROOST.
How THE ROOST Helped
Dinners from THE ROOST are an easy, affordable way to save your time in the kitchen and leave it to the professionals! The meals are ready-made meals from the local restaurant TILL. Chef-prepared meals that you can pick up on your way home, pop in the oven to heat, and enjoy!
We had tried a meal once before and the food was a hit with all of us. I knew it would be a great treat for them while I was gone. The meals are fully prepared and cooked. They are available in the coolers at THE ROOST.
So simple. So delicious.
Here’s the nice thing about these meals. Their options are marked in the store according to dietary accommodations and have a great variety: Vegan, Gluten free, Vegetarian. For that specific week for my family, our meal included a classic mixed green salad, garlic mashed potatoes, Carolina mustard BBQ hindquarters, meat lasagna and a delicious Colorado sourdough bread.
If you are like me, you have probably tried other ways to save time in the kitchen. Many companies offer meal delivery, but with most of them, you have to assemble and cook the food yourself. Those services do end up saving time, but they are more of a glorified personal grocery shopping company.
Ready to Eat
Having the TILL meal already cooked and ready made dinner easier for my family.
Although I wasn’t here to enjoy the meal myself, I felt good knowing that I wasn’t leaving my family members to figure everything out on their own. If anything, they’d get one amazing meal while I was gone.
From what my husband and kids told me, it was delicious!
