They not only mistakenly thought I was pregnant, but they insulted my body shape right after to try to cover themselves. I ran out of the room in tears, wishing that I was in a different body than my own. I was mortified, embarrassed, and depressed for a few days after that. And I have prayed ever since that I never make someone else feel that way.
But as any pregnant woman knows, life must go on. We must do the bare minimum to ensure chaos doesn't make its way into our homes. I don't want to feel like this; exhausted and sometimes lifeless in thought. I don't even have the energy to string together thoughts. There's really no amount of sleep either that can make me feel better. It's a different type of tired.
'Margin' is the word of the year in my house. Busy. Busy.  So many of us live with chronic schedule-squeeze, and while there will always be these seasons, it's left me wondering if we actually try to be that busy. It...

I have found great success with lettuce, zucchini, tomatoes, and green beans. But melons, peppers, and cauliflower have not done well. So I don’t plant them. I grow more of the vegetables that grow well.

Social media was created to meet the innate human need to connect and to belong. However, sometimes it has the opposite effect. If we obsess over how many likes, followers, shares and comments a post receives, our self-esteem can suffer. We might start believing we are not popular or well liked. We are so much more than a computer-generated number!
Sometimes the very best thing you can do is to say something, and to say it well. Some of us will always opt to say something, or to say everything. I usually err on the side of saying something, and I'm learning that there are many times when the very best thing I can do is to say nothing.
