The Paint Mines Interpretive Park is one of El Paso County’s most unique open spaces. The Paint Mines are named for their colorful clays that were collected by American Indians to make paint. Brightly colored bands, caused by oxidized iron compounds, are found in varying amounts throughout the many different layers of clay.
Explore the electrically lit portion of the Cave of the Winds on a 45 – 60 minute guided walking tour which includes 15 rooms, a 1/2 mile of concrete walkways, and 196 stairs. On this family-friendly tour, you will learn about the history and geology of the cave while being shown some of its most beautiful formations.
We are a locally owned and operated intimate magic theater. We currently offer two unique shows, a Family Matinee and an Evening Show.
Our Family Matinee consists of an hour show with fun interactive magic for the whole family. This show is recommended for ages 3 and up.
Our Evening Show consists of a two hour show with a 10-15 min. intermission included. This show is recommended for ages 12 and up.
We also offer private part options: Birthday parties for all ages, Family reunions, Cooperate events, Team building, Holiday Parties, etc.

Acacia Park was Colorado Springs’ first park, and was donated to the City by General William Jackson Palmer, the city’s founder, in 1871. AMENITIES: Handicap accessible, Bandshell (reservable),Uncle Wilbur Fountain, The HUB Visitors Center: May 26 – Sept 3; 11:30-6:30 p.m., Outdoor Ice Skating Rink (November-January), playground, and sidewalks.
Red Rocks Canyon contains many miles of trails of varying difficulty that wind through and around the rock formations, and is popular with hikers, joggers, and mountain bikers. The park trails connect to the Intemann trail to Manitou Springs and the Section 16 conservation area to the south. Technical rock climbing is allowed with a permit.
Woodmen Hills Metro District, Parks and Recreation offers a wide range of recreational programming and facilities. At the heart of our District are two recreation facilities, The Recreation Center East, and Community Center West. The RCE amenities include an indoor 6-lane lap pool, a warm water play pool, an indoor basketball court, cardio equipment, and a weight room. Our CCW location has a 24-hour access weight room with cardio equipment, rental spaces for events, an outdoor playground, outdoor sand volleyball, pavilion rental, and an outdoor seasonal pool.
For our outdoor enthusiasts, the district has 8 miles of trails, 4 playgrounds, pickleball courts, 18-hole disc golf, an artificial turf field, multiple basketball courts, and a BMX park.
