We had a blast hosting our 4th annual holiday family event – Donuts with Santa – on Sunday, December 5th at the stunning Hearth House! Over 160 local families joined us as we spent a special day with Santa! Each session offered guests a smaller, more intimate event experience as they enjoyed hot cocoa, donut decorating, storytime, holiday crafts & activities, and a visit (and photo) with Santa!

THE VENUE

Hearth House is an elegant mountain-style venue with a freshly modern touch that offers space for up to 250 people. The venue design includes exposed wood beams, sliding barn doors, a 25’ tall two-sided fireplace, grand hearth, beautiful white wood siding barn doors, whitewashed brick, and top-of-the-line ambient chandeliers.

Our Santa Sponsor, Soccer Buddies, made it possible for a visit and photos with Santa at our event. It has been such a delight to bring the same Santa to our Donuts With Santa event year after year. He always receives high praise from our attendees, which is no surprise since he has been ranked by Time Magazine as one of the top 11 Santas in the United States.

Soccer Buddies joined the fun with a toy workshop and photo booth set up at their table. Colorado Soccer Buddies provides a child Development Soccer Program for ages 15 months through 12 years.

Dino Dental joined our event as the donuts sponsor. Event attendees each received a donut and decorating kit complete with icing and sprinkles.

Babies, children and teens will all love their own unique and individualized experience at Dino Dental, a one-of-a-kind lip-tie, orthodontic, and pediatric dental clinic.

MAP OF FUN SPONSOR: S.L.A.M. TRI LAKES

Each attending family received a map of fun program to help guide them through the venue. Our maps were sponsored by S.L.A.M. Sweat Like a Mother Tri Lakes, a local fitness community for women in all stages of motherhood and levels of fitness. They provide stroller/kid-friendly classes Monday through Friday at 10:00 as well as monthly playgroups and mom’s night out.

ACTIVITY SPONSORS

Our activity sponsors provided areas of fun for the young children who attended our event. The following sponsors set up shop in Santa’s workshop and provided a holiday-themed activity:

 

SAFESPLASH SWIM SCHOOL

SafeSplash ran the sensory fun station, Jingle Bell Ball, where children experimented with jingle bells and magnets. SafeSplash Swim School – Colorado Springs (Northgate & I25) specializes in providing warm water, learn to swim lessons for children and adults in Colorado Springs.

THE ORGANIC CURE

The Organic Cure provided additional sensory fun at the Sensory Snowman Station where children created take-home sensory bags. The Organic Cure is a provider of naturopathic pediatric care whose mission is to empower parents to take control of their children’s health. Helping you raise naturally healthy kids.

NOVERA: HEADACHE CENTER

Novera: Headache Center ran the Holiday Bowling Station where kids had a festive time knocking down Christmas tree bowling pins. SIMPLE GIFT SERIES

Simple Gift Series shared its space with the Colorado Springs Conservatory and brought hands-on fun with music-making and jolly gift bag decorating. The Simple Gift Series music and literacy enrichment programming is a tested curriculum created by Linda Weise, and taught for 28 years at the Colorado Springs Conservatory. The Simple Gift Series reaches young learners across the nation through its website and partnership with PBS.

CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL COLORADO

Children’s Hospital Colorado brought the fun outside with the Reindeer Games station. Children played cornhole and enjoyed a candy cane relay. Located in the Briargate neighborhood, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs has 294,000 state-of-the-art square feet entirely devoted to kids. That means more kids in southern Colorado will get the care they need, faster and closer to home. This six-level hospital houses the first pediatric-only operating rooms and emergency department in Colorado Springs.

USBORNE BOOKS: ERIKA AT BOOKS FOR WEEKS

Usborne Book Consultant, Erika Weeks, brought her book collection to the event to give parents time to shop for the perfect book for their kids. She also entertained attendees with a brief storytime while kids waited for Santa to make his grand entrance. Usborne and Kane Miller books are the most exciting, engaging, and educational books on the market today. They are high-quality, innovative, lavishly-illustrated, and best of all, they are the books kids love to read.

Hot Chocolate

The Shandy Clinic is an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic specializing in speech, occupational, physical therapy as well as ABA and Multidisciplinary Autism Evaluations.

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe offers artisan breads baked daily in Italian hearthstone ovens, delicious sandwiches, mouthwatering European pastries, hearty soups & refreshing salads.
