Yes, you heard me…order food from local restaurants AND give back! Win. Win. And take a night off from cooking and cleaning the kitchen. (Anyone else feel like there has been so much cooking and cleaning these last few weeks?)

I’ve started a list of local restaurants giving back when you order from them. Make sure to call to confirm details or check their websites. Information is changing very quickly right now.

Phantom Canyon Brewing Co.

Phantom Canyon is still open for takeout and delivery and they recently launched an “Extra Helpings” program to help feed individuals in need during this crazy time. For every to-go or delivery order, Phantom Canyon will deliver a meal to someone who needs it—a grandparent, neighbor, hospital worker, teacher, friend—anyone who could use a meal delivered right now. They will be delivering meals to those in need weekly, and they will send items that can be easily shared and reheated for leftovers. To request a meal for someone in need simply place an order yourself and visit this page to fill out a form to place an order for someone who needs it.Extra Helpings

Colorado Craft Tejon Street Social

Follow the Colorado Craft Facebook page for updated info on all the great things they are doing. Many days, they are offering grab and go soups (which are delicious). When you buy a grab and go soup, they donate and deliver soup to frontline healthcare workers. Each week has been a bit different on what they are giving back, so be sure to check with them for details. We love what they are doing for our community.

Trails End Taproom

Ok, so maybe this is more about drinks than food, but supporting Trails End Taproom and giving back is a win-win. Swing by after a hike or bike ride (check up to date hours on their Facebook Page) to grab some growlers or to-go cans. They have wine and cider too, and sometimes even kombucha. They have regularly been accepting donations (canned goods etc.) for Westside Cares and in return, they give you a $5 coupon to use later. Again, please check up to date info directly with Trails End!

Lazy Dog

Friends + Family meals are now available to order online for curbside pick-up or delivery. Starting at $25, these meals serve 4-5 people, and the best part, with each purchase, they’ll donate a meal to frontline workers and those serving our community at this time.

Do you know of other restaurants giving back? Comment below with the info so we can add them to our list!

Tonya
Tonya grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where she majored in Health Promotion (the degree you choose when you know are meant to make an impact but you don’t know exactly how) After graduating in 2003, her adventurous spirit lead her to pack up her little car and move to Colorado Springs. Her heart was easily won by the beautiful landscape, the amazing weather, colorful Aspen trees, and the fabulous people in this city. In 2008, she married her love and best friend, Ryan. They added two amazing boys to the family…Landon (2009) and Kellan (2011). After a rewarding career as a Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and a sales representative for Pfizer, her heart desired more time with her boys. In 2011, she became a work from home mom, focusing on her very busy boys full time and her health and wellness coaching business part time! Her passion as a mom includes building legos, trips to the zoo, family hikes, fishing, and camping. Her passion as a health coach is helping people see their potential, reach goals, and lead a healthy lifestyle. In her spare time (what is that again??), she loves working out, running, and reading. Her favorite things to do with her handsome hubby include riding bikes downtown Colorado Springs for date nights, hiking the incline, trying new (exotic) foods, spending time with great (adult) friends, and trying craft beers (inspired of course by her husband!).
