Guide to Fall Festivals and Events

The leaves are starting to turn colors, the temperatures are dropping, and kids are back in school. Fall is the best time to enjoy fall festivals with the family! We’ve scoured the area and put together a terrific list of fun things to do and places to go in our area for fun with the family. Whatever your family enjoys about fall – you can find it here!

From harvest festivals, and ghost tours to pumpkin patches, and parades there is something for everyone. Join us in heading out to enjoy that crisp fall air!

FESTIVALS

October 6-8, 9 AM-4 PM daily.

Admission:

$16 Adults, $14 Seniors, $12 Children (ages 3-15), $14 Students, Free admission for children 2 and younger. Discounts for members and military.

You must purchase a ticket online for a specific date and time to visit. Tickets will not be available onsite. Pumpkins are an additional cost (average $8).

Festival includes:

  • Family and children’s activities
  • Local craft and artisan booths
  • Entertainment and live music
  • Food trucks and food vendors
  • Beer and hard cider vendors

Admission includes these activities:

  • Entry to the pumpkin patch and Corn Maze
  • Antique tractor exhibit by Front Range Antique Power Association
  • Tractor-pulled parking shuttles
  • Hayrides
  • Photo booths
  • 20 carnival tickets for games and inflatable bouncers, slides and obstacle course per child’s paid admission
  • Mini-maze for kids 10 and younger
  • Express face painting
  • Balloon characters

Additional costs include stunt jump and additional carnival tickets for games and inflatables.

October 7 from 10 AM-5 PM.

Admission: Adults (18-64) $8, Seniors (65+) $5, Youth (3-17) $4, Under 2 are free. Special Military Pricing (must show ID) for Active and Retired: $6 Adult, $5 Senior, and $3 Youth (6-17).  Pumpkins are $5 each.

The Ranch will be filled with activities and fun in the crisp autumn air. Take a wagon ride with the family, listen to old-time music, pick a pumpkin to take home, scramble for candy, kick back on the lawn with a slice of pie, and take time to tour the Historic Homes, visit the Blacksmith, and more.

Oct 7, all day

Since 1935 Penrose has taken a day to celebrate all things apple.  This year on October 7th they will have their annual celebration. Festivities begin bright and early at 7AM with a pancake breakfast and fun run. It concludes with fireworks at 9:30 PM. There are a slew of activities to enjoy from food trucks and vendors, parade and book sale, to games and entertainment, live music and an apple pie eating contest.

Diana’s is a working farm and they ask that you please follow the parking signs and be respectful of their neighbors when parking and using the farm.

“We are planning our first-ever Fall Festival!
Admission will be $20 per person for access to activities ALL DAY LONG. 3 and under will be free!
Join us for unlimited access to mini golf, our indoor playground (ages 8 and under) our ninja warrior course & bounce houses (weather permitting!)
Set up in our party rooms will be face painting & pumpkin painting!
Our parking lot will be full of vendors & food trucks!
The first 100 people to check out will receive a free goodie bag!”

October 20-22 & 27-29

Don your costume, bring your trick-or-treat bag and flashlight for a frightfully good time! Costumes of guests 12 and up cannot have masks or weapons.  Guests 11 and under need to make sure their eyes can be seen with a mask on and that their peripheral vision is not obstructed. The Zoo requests that you help support their efforts to reduce waste by bringing your own bag for treats.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Haunted House – ages 6 and up, strobe lights in use (Lodge at Moose Lake)
  • Spooky Graveyard – (Scutes Family Gallery)
  • Trick-or-treat at Spooky Treat Stations (throughout the Boo at the Zoo path)

  • Lighted Pumpkin Patch – (My Big Backyard)
  • Photo Opportunities – If you’ve got it, haunt it! Perfect selfie spots are everywhere at Boo at the Zoo. See if you can find our special year-specific banners and tag your posts: #BOOCMZOO
  • Sky Ride – $3 at Sky Ride ticket booth (be in line by 7:30 p.m., last ride at 8 p.m.)
  • Giraffe and Budgie feeding experiences.

Oct 21 2PM-5PM

Get into the spirit of the season and celebrate Arts Month! The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum and Evergreen Heritage invite families for a fun and educational fall-themed stroll around the beautiful and historic Evergreen Cemetery. Explore interactive art and history-themed stations and enjoy live music and food trucks. Costumes are encouraged!

Tickets are $8 per person. Children 2 and under are free.

Oct 21 from 11AM-2PM

Put on your Halloween costumes or your best Fall outfits and head to the parking lot of Keller Williams Partners office on Oct 21st. There will be a pumpkin patch, face painting, awesome trunks, and plenty of candy!

In 1995, the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce started the first coffin races in the nation, in memory of a beloved member of Manitou Springs. In the years since, the races have grown into an often-copied-but-never-equaled Manitou Springs tradition.

This is an all-day event. The parade begins at noon, with the coffin races and an after-party following.

Oct 29 10AM – 4PM

Enjoy food trucks, vendors, games, pumpkin smashing, raffles, and more! Altitude Sickness will perform (bring chairs for extra seating to enjoy the band).

Oct 6,7,13,14 ,19, 20, 21, 26 and 27  starting at 6 PM.

Tours are approximately 1 hour and depart from the Manitou Springs Heritage Center (517 Manitou Avenue)

Admission: $16 in advance.  Children under 11 are free with an adult.

Listen to tales of the weird and wonderful as you stroll the streets of Manitou Springs. *Proceeds benefit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center to help keep this FREE MUSEUM open. This is their 28th year of Ghost Tours.
