Get ready to race this fall! Below are all the fun runs and races in Colorado Springs. Many have gone virtual for safety, but that only makes it easier to participate!

While our community focuses on health and safety during this difficult time, we are proud to offer a reimagined version of the Colorado Springs Marathon. We’ve upped the swag and added a 10k distance – all while still supporting our athletes in setting life-changing endurance goals. Join us this September and let us help you design your own way to run the Spirit of the Springs.

Join us in September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month for the St. Jude Walk/Run – Colorado Springs, CO, to raise money for childhood cancer research for the kids of St. Jude and kids with cancer in your community.

Register, form a team, and invite your friends and family to join. Or, join an existing team. Then, be a fearless fundraiser for the kids of St. Jude.

We invite you to join us this year for an innovative virtual event. Whether you participate for your friend who is newly-diagnosed, your sister living with breast cancer, for yourself as a survivor, or in memory of a loved one, we are stronger when we join together.

Your participation and fundraising provides women and men in the Susan G. Komen Colorado South area (Pueblo, Otero, Teller, Fremont and El Paso counties) with services that have literally saved lives.

Registration Fee: Adults are $35.00. Youth 16 and under $25 – All paid participants will receive an event shirt.

Join us for the 12th Annual Be Ovary Aware 5k Run 3K Walk. This is a VIRTUAL event! Raise awareness for ovarian and gynecologic cancers and support local women with the disease. This event benefits Sue’s Gift – Gynecologic Cancer Support. When cancer hits below the belt, we’re here to help! We believe every woman deserves her best chance at survival regardless of her economic situation. Our financial assistance program helps Colorado’s gynecologic cancer patients pay medical and household expenses. Our Woman to Woman program trains and empowers gynecologic cancer survivors, one year post treatment, to mentor newly diagnosed patients with the same cancer type. With your help we can ensure that women with gynecologic caner receive all the emotional and financial support possible!

Your Be Ovary Aware race course can be anywhere! You can do Be Ovary Aware on your treadmill, on a mountain road, a beautiful beach or anywhere in between.

Walk to End Epilepsy 5K, the largest epilepsy awareness event in the Southern Colorado region. Drive thru to pick up your shirts and prizes and then head out to walk with your team on your own! Proceeds benefit the programs and services provided by the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado.

These races focus on cross country running, using the trails and obstacles that are offered at each race venue. The courses are challenging, and sometimes a bit crazy, but the atmosphere is filled with smiles and fun. By design, these are not your ordinary 5K or 10K races.


As long as kids are big enough to walk, they can participate in the kids’ series! Each kid can run whatever distance they feel comfortable with. This is a trail series and may include such things as hay bales, rocks, water, and other obstructions. Each child receives a ribbon after each race & it’s FREE!

Join us for the 13th annual Creepy Crawl 5K and Kids’ Monster Dash at the spooky yet beautiful Palmer Lake Santa Fe Trailhead! Costumes are encouraged with a TON of prizes ready to reward your creativity. There will be treasure to be had and jams by D Rock. You’ll have a great time while making it possible for our friends and neighbors in need to access membership and programs at the Y.

This may be different than other “races” you’ve done. We like to keep things relaxed, and all of our events are untimed so everyone can run or walk at their own pace. Instead of closing down the streets, we ensure a safe and fun running route on sidewalks, through parks, and along trails. The course is staffed with encouraging volunteers to cheer you on and point you back to the brewery for your much-deserved beer!

Time: 8:15 AM – 1K Kids Tiny Trot starts

9:00 AM – 5k Run starts, 09:10 AM – Walk/Strollers start

The Briargate Family YMCA is hosting our 23rd annual Turkey Trot 5K and Kids’ Tiny Trot presented by Kaiser Permanente in Colorado Springs, Colorado!

The Turkey Trot 5K and Kids’ Tiny Trot are the eagerly anticipated holiday event of the season and are a fundraiser for the YMCA. This fundraiser enables us to provide scholarships to local families in need, which, in turn, allows them access to the YMCA and its many programs.

Get ready to Rock the 12th Annual Jingle Bell 5K and Kids’ Reindeer Romp as we take on the fun and festive course at the Fountain Creek Regional Park!

Wear your reindeer antlers, your ugly sweater, your santa suit, your bells, bows, and best cheer! Santa will be there, too! This year, all proceeds will benefit the Welte Teen Center in Fountain.

Kristal is a native of California, lived in Utah, and now lovingly calls Colorado Springs home. She grew up in a household with four younger siblings and graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz. She and her husband are raising their elementary school aged children in the Briargate area. With kids in school full time, Kristal is an active member of the PTA, and spends time working in local schools. She is passionate about connecting moms in our community. In her spare time, she enjoys long walks in the aisles of Target, dancing it out in Zumba classes, drinking copious amounts coffee, cooking dinner as a form of therapy, and last but certainly not least, spending time outdoors with her family.
