Welcome to the 2024 Guide to Summer Camps. Consider this your go-to resource for summer programming and camps in and around Colorado Springs. Below you will find featured camps from this year’s sponsors, as well as a list of summer camps and activities arranged by category.

UCCS RecKids

UCCS RecKids Camp program offers children a variety of activities each day assuring you that your child(ren) will have fun while developing relationships with other campers as well as the UCCS Campus Recreation RecKids Supervisors, as they experience and discover the world around them.

Both small and large group activities will allow your child(ren) to learn the importance of valuing diversity, being a team player and leading by example. Each camp session includes a variety of activities that allow your child(ren) to grow in mind and body.

Mountain Lion Camp

The Mountain Lion Camp offers campers a wide variety of activities each day! Campers will have time to swim in our aquatic center. Rock climb on our 27-foot rock wall! Play group activity games in the gym and outdoor play on the UCCS Alpine Field. Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in creative crafts.

Our Mountain Lion Camp is run by UCCS Recreation Professional full-time Staff and UCCS Recreation Student Camp Counselors. Our team can assure you that your child(ren) will have an excellent summer camp experience!

Outdoor Adventure Camp

The Outdoor Adventure Camp (OAC) will offer campers the opportunity to dive into a variety of outdoor adventures and extreme sports. The camp will be led by experienced outdoor educators who will ensure a fun, safe, and dynamic atmosphere each day for our participants. The OAC will venture off the UCCS Campus most days (weather pending) and explore all the unique outdoor recreation offerings in our area.

Signature camp trips include outdoor rock climbing, paddle boarding, hiking, fishing, and more. As part of the Outdoor Adventure Camp, participants can also expect daily time in the pool and daily climbing at the Student Outdoor Learning Experience climbing wall.

Splish N’ Splash Camp

Splish N’ Splash Campers entering 1st through 8th grade will be surrounded by trained, certified and friendly lifeguards and instructors as they dive into our beautiful aquatic center equipped with four (4) lap lanes, a vortex pool, in-water seating and toys!

Each morning will be filled with a quality 45-minute swim lesson, structured safety drills and up to two hours of free swim time to allow the kiddos a chance to show off what they have learned! Campers will also receive a chance to flex their creative muscles as we partake in various arts and crafts activities, gym and field games, experience the climbing wall and other fun activities.

School of Rock

Do you want to learn how to play in a band? School of Rock Colorado Springs offers a wide variety of exciting music camps and workshops for ages 4 – 17. Our local music camps are perfect for musicians of any skill level who want to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or vocals. School of Rock offers an incredible selection of experiences.

Our music camps include performance boot camps, artist-themed camps, and more – there’s a camp for every interest and skill level. All music camps end with an epic live rock show performed by the campers!

Pikes Peak Athletics

Fountain Valley School

Campers can build their confidence, make new friends, and achieve their goals with Fountain Valley School (FVS) Summer Session, which offers two- and four-week options – including place-based academic enrichment programs and fun – for residential and day campers ages 11-16.

Learning meets adventure at FVS Summer Session, where campers are encouraged to tailor their daily schedules to match their specific interests and passions. Located on a secure 1,100-acre Prairie campus in Colorado Springs, FVS is home to a three-story Art Barn, an athletic complex with the nation’s largest indoor high school climbing wall and a swimming pool, and 12 miles of trails.

First Tee

First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.

First Tee runs camps in El Paso, Pueblo, Teller and Fremont Counties for ages 3-18. We offer half day, full day, and multi-week camps starting Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, July 26.

Soccer Buddies

Kick-off your Summer with Soccer Buddies day camps!

We run day camps at local parks around the city for children aged 4 to 12 years from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Drop your kids off for a day of fun, exercise, and team building.

Our high-energy coaches will develop their soccer skills and their love for physical fitness. We know parenting can be a juggle, so we’re all about making it easy. Steve & Kate's Camp

Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s has put kids in charge of their own learning experience. Kids choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, coding, maker crafts, baking, sports, and more!

As kids try, fail, and learn on their own, they learn to trust their own judgment, and tackle the challenges of the world with creativity and confidence. Families can buy any number of days, to use at any time–no weekly reservations required. Or, buy a Summer Pass, which covers the whole season. Either way, any unused Passes are automatically refunded at summer’s end.

HSPPR Camp Whiskers & Wags

HSPPR’s summer day camps for children ages 7-15 years old help foster compassion and respect for animals. Camps include age-appropriate and engaging activities, educational and interactive lessons, and daily hands-on visits with animals of all shapes and sizes.

Camp Whiskers & Wags is licensed through the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care. Registration opens March 4th at 9 a.m.

Academy of Children's Theatre (ACT)

Join the Academy of Children’s Theatre (ACT) for a fantastic Spring Break or Summer Camp! Students from 4 years old through high school can join us for Acting, Musical Theatre, Improv and more!

Your student will learn new skills, enjoy fun improvisational games, as well as prepare and perform a one-act play or musical theatre selections ON STAGE at the end of the week for family and friends to enjoy! Our camps fill up quickly, so register today!
