2020 Summer Camp

Spring has nearly arrived in Southern Colorado, which means it is time to think ahead to summer camps. Early registration has begun for most programs, so we compiled this Guide to Summer Camps in and around Colorado Springs to help you plan. This list covers everything from outdoor adventures to dance, sports, and art. We recognize many moms spend extensive amounts of time piecing together week to week activities for the summer. Pikes Peak Athletics

Pikes Peak Athletics offers swim camps geared toward achieving comfort and safety in and around the water. These camps take place during the work week Monday-Friday and are offered to all levels of swimmers, starting at age 4.

Each day, campers will engage in lessons focused on learning and repeating skills in the water as well as basic water safety. Campers will also enjoy interactive deck games and free swim with their new friends as we know social skills and comfort in and around the water are important too!

Locations: Pikes Peak Athletics Training Center (central), The Country Club of Colorado (south), The Club at Flying Horse (north)


Dates: Each week from June 8 – July 31 (except June 29 – July 3) at PPATC, visit our website for specific dates and times.

Hours: Morning camps available 8:30am-12:30pm and afternoon camps 12:30pm-4:30pm with the option to enroll for morning and afternoon camp and receive a $75 discount for full day.

Price: $280 for camps at PPATC | $280 for country club members & $310 for non-members at off-site locations.


YMCA Summer Day Camps offer enriching weekly camp theme activities where friends are made through group games, sports & fitness, hands-on science activities, arts & crafts, music and swimming! The Y’s Summer Day Camp program is one of the oldest and most trusted camping programs in the country. Our day camps provide fun, child-centered activities and opportunities for learning through discovery, and challenge children to grow in imagination, creativity, self-directed initiative and leadership. Summer Day Camp locations include the Briargate, Downtown, Garden Ranch, Southeast and Tri-Lakes YMCAs, as well as the Westside Community Center.

NEW: Adventure Camps!

At our Adventure Specialty Camps, we believe in thrilling outdoor experiences in authentic local settings. Each day is an adventure with every challenge designed to fit our campers’ ages and abilities. Led by our friendly and fun outdoor instructors, campers develop lasting know-how and self-assuredness, propelling them toward a lifetime of exciting and fulfilling outdoor adventure. Most activities will be held at off-site locations. Transportation provided.

Weekly Fee: $300 for YMCA members, $350 for nonmembers ($75 per child registration fee)

Haus Sports Academy

Become a multi-sport All-Star with Haus Sports Academy’s (HSA) multi-sport Camps, Clinics & Classes! Learn the basics in a number of team sports with the help of our experienced, passionate, and patient coaches. HSA serves as an introduction to some of the most popular sports in the world!!

With a focus on the health and safety of campers and staff, we have been working incredibly hard over the past several weeks to create three adapted summer programs that dramatically reduce large group contact. Programs available for the summer of 2020 include Small Group Outdoor Adventures and Camp at Home for Pre K – 7th graders M-F 9 am to 3 pm plus weeklong AM & PM Online Camp sessions. We’re also offering our existing small group Expedition Overnight Camps in Colorado and the Bay Area of California These programs will all deliver the same outdoor focused, professional, and empowering experiences that you are used to receiving from Avid4 Adventure with help from our experienced, health and background screened instructors.

iD Tech

Virtual Tech Camps

Virtual Tech Camps are the perfect, home-based option for students ages 7-19 seeking the collaborative spirit of our on-campus programs. Structured, weeklong sessions with 2 hours of live instruction per day + 2 hours of self-paced project development. Curriculum in Python, Java, Minecraft, Roblox, AI, Unreal Engine, Adobe, 3D modeling, and more. 5 students max per instructor, blending personalized learning and team interaction.

Camp Whiskers & Wags

Do all the stray cats follow your kid(s) home? Are you asked multiple times a day to get a puppy, a kitten, a rabbit, a snake? Do you have an aspiring veterinarian at home? Our summer camp sessions are jam-packed with educational lessons, engaging activities, and lots of critters – so you can get a breather knowing your kiddos are learning, having fun, and getting their pet playtime fix. Pride Soccer Club

Pride Soccer Club will offer 2 Recreational Soccer Skills Camps in 2020 for ages U4-U14 Boys and Girls. The camps, run by the club’s technical staff and competitive coaches and players, will focus on individual skills development and is suitable for all recreational levels including beginners. The camps will take place on artificial turf fields at the Pride Complex.

Dance Wonderland

Come join us for some of the most creative camps in town! Dance camps for kids ages 4-12 years old. All camps are held at Dance Wonderland 2103 N. Weber St. Colorado Springs, 80907

Princess Dance Camp

June 8th-12th Camp runs M-F 9 AM-12PM. Dancers will play games, make crafts, learn the basics of Ballet, and also enjoy a special visit from a different Princess guest each day. Great for kids ages 4-9. Cost is $250 for a half day.

Cheer and Tumble

June 22nd-26th This camp incorporates tumbling progressions, dance and cheer fundamentals. The camp will conclude with a performance for family and friends to attend. Great for kids ages 7-12. Camp runs M-F 9 AM-12 PM (half day) or M-F 9 AM – 3 PM (Full Day)

Pirates, Princesses Super Heroes, Oh My!

July 13th-17th Students will learn the basics of ballet, make crafts, play games and create their very own unique Fairy Tale using any character of their choice. The camp will conclude with a performance for family and friends to attend. July 20th-July 24th or July 27th-31st Calling all Villains! Come join us for a fun filled week where students will learn a variety of skills such as singing, dancing, and performance skills. The camp will conclude with a performance for family and friends to attend. Great for kids ages 7-12 years old. Camp runs M-F 9 AM-12 PM (half day) or M-F 9 AM – 3 PM (Full Day). $149 (half day), $249 (full day).

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

A wild summer experience for kids in kindergarten through 12th grade. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo offers summer camp adventures that share the wonders of wildlife and wild places in fun and exciting ways. Campers meet animals up-close, explore the outdoors, interact with zookeepers, make treats for the animals, design cool crafts and more!

  • Full week camps – offered late May, June, July and August for K – 9th graders
  • Single day camps – offered May 21 or 22 for K – 6th graders
  • Kindergarten camps – offered as either half-day or full day options, as scheduled

Color Me Mine

Day camp for creative kids! We offer 8 different 5 day camps, each with a different theme. We have loads of amazing projects including: painting ceramics, hand building with clay, tie dye, canvas painting, mixed media and more!

CityROCK themed camps are a great adventure for kids of all ability levels ages 6 and up. Our daily program includes sport climbing, bouldering, and fun games!

Campers will make new friends, boost their confidence, and create lasting memories. Kids attending multiple days will have a chance to learn how to belay, rappel, and tie basic knots.

We offer two 3-hour sessions per day, mornings from 9 am to 12 pm and afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30 pm, and a full week option. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions the full day camp option is temporarily unavailable.

Academy of Children's Theatre

Join the Academy of Children’s theatre this summer for a fantastic theatre experience. Your student will learn new skills, enjoy fun improvisational games, as well as prepare and perform a one-act play or musical theatre selections at the end of the week. In order for students to enjoy camp with others their age, we have specific camps for each age group: Ages 4-Kindergarten, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12 (High School). Enroll your creative girls and boys, ages 7-14, in AR Workshop’s ARTS CAMP!

Kids will enjoy creating at least one custom art project each day while learning various painting and crafting techniques.
