A family-friendly way to start the holiday season! Amahl and the Night Visitors, a one act holiday opera by Gian Carlo Menotti is the story of a little boy and his mother who are paid a visit by three Kings following a star. This American classic comes to life again for audiences across the Pikes Peak region. Presented by the Colorado Springs Conservatory in collaboration with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs under the direction of Maestro Thomas Wilson and stage direction of Linda Weise.

Festival of Lights is a series of events to celebrate the December holiday season, highlighted by the Festival of Lights Parade. The events include cultural and artistic programs, performances and other festivities for the enjoyment and education of the general public.

The Colorado Springs Youth Symphony invites fans to Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts for its annual Holiday Spectacular concert. Featuring the Amadeus String, Allegro Strings, Vivace Strings, Bravo Winds, Pikes Peak Winds, and Ovation Youth Orchestra, this concert sets the mood for the holiday season and will leave fans tapping their toes.

Join the award-winning Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts for ‘Tis the Season-The Stories.  The audience will enjoy the stories of the holidays told in song by the youngest of voices up through the Children’s Chorale’s top group, the Summit Ensemble.  These talented young musicians will weave the stories of the holidays into your heart with selections from Frozen, A Christmas Story, Charlie Brown Christmas, the Polar Express and more.   Santa will greet concert goers and read stories to our young friends.  Come enjoy some hot chocolate, great stories, and beautiful music.  Tickets are now on sale.

The United States Air Force Academy Band will present its highly-anticipated annual holiday concert “Holly and Ivy” on Tuesday, December 4 at 7 p.m. at Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts. This year’s theme is “A Holiday Serenade” with classic holiday music and exciting new works, featuring virtuosic soloists and eclectic small group arrangements.

This concert is open to the general public and free for everyone. Tickets are required for entry and will be available starting Monday, November 19 at 10 a.m. at the Pikes Peak Center and The Broadmoor World Arena box offices.

More than a dozen of Santa’s scout elves are making a special trip to Downtown Colorado Springs for three days only. The elves will land on December 5th during the Downtown Holiday Stroll. Find them hiding throughout Downtown stores, galleries, and restaurants before their final return to the North Pole on December 8th.

Children of all ages are invited to pick up an Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt Pass at any of the participating businesses to help guide them through the adventure. Be sure to look high and low, these crafty little elves can be just a bit mischievous sometimes and they are great at hiding! After the hunt is complete, return your pass by December 8th to any of the participating retailers to be entered to win one of two $50 Downtown gift cards, good at over 100 Downtown stores/restaurants.

The beauty and warmth of coming home for the holidays will be reflected in the Summit by Candlelight concert presented by the top performing ensemble of the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale. In the glow of a candlelit sanctuary, audience members will be transported around the world through song. This accomplished group will perform selections from their fall repertoire as well as holiday favorites. Because of their great reputation of musical excellence, the Summit Ensemble has been invited to perform in New York City at Carnegie Hall in June 2019.; Come hear the Summit Ensemble right here in Colorado Springs.

First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs is excited to announce its annual holiday concert at Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts, taking place this year on Sunday, December 9.  Two performances of “Christmas Joy!” will be presented, at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

This Colorado Springs holiday tradition will offer a wide variety of Christmas music for every age and taste. Musicians include the 150-voice First Presbyterian choir, guest artist Alvy Powell, a full orchestra, 17-piece Big Band, The Pikes Peak Ringers, The Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale, Celtic Mountain Band, Celtic Steps Dancers and more!
