Hello Fall! How to Celebrate the Autumn Season

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” F. Scot Fitzgerald

I couldn’t agree more! There is something so refreshing about the cool fall air.  I love celebrating fall like it’s a holiday. Why not? There are certainly enough pumpkin recipes to go around. Are you like me and want to squeeze the most out of the fall season? Here are some of my favorites and some I hope to experience this year.

Fill your home with the scent of autumn.

Take a trip to Mueller State Park, less than an hour from Colorado Springs. The $7 day pass is definitely worth the amazing fall colors. I’d recommend checking their Facebook page to see when leaves are changing.

Wouldn’t a fall picnic be fun?  It wouldn’t have to be fancy, with crackers, meat, fruit, and hot chocolate.  I’m all about simple. Of course fancy can be fun too: check out these amazing fall picnic ideas for inspiration.

We always seem to be out of town for the Rock Ledge Ranch Fall Festival. But it seems the perfect way to usher in fall.  There is free admission to the Ranch on October 1st for this festive day full of fall activities.

Have a date night planned? Here’s a great list of unique autumn date night ideas.

Take breakfast outside.  Pumpkin muffins, hot apple cider and a fun park on a crisp fall morning is a great way to start the day. Who said picnics can’t be for breakfast?

Don’t forget to decorate! I love an adorable and free printable for an easy way to change decor with the seasons.

Kids (and adults!) would love this Caramel Apple Bar.

And of course, we can’t leave out the beloved pumpkin recipes.  Of course, pumpkin can be eaten any time of the year, but it just tastes different in the fall.  Here’s a sampling of recipes to get you started.

I could go on and on with ideas to celebrate this lovely season, but you tell me: what’s your favorite way to enjoy fall? And, if you need even more ideas, check out our Fall and Halloween Pinterest board.
