Boo at the Zoo: A Must Do Fall Activity in Colorado Springs

This post was originally published on September 20, 2021

Boo at the Zoo is one of our favorite family traditions. We have gone every year since our oldest was born (2018, 2019, 2020) and we already have tickets to go again in October! It is an event that the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo holds every year where you can see the animals at night and go trick-or-treating.

Not only is this zoo one of the best zoos in the world (so every visit is the best!), but it is so fun to celebrate Halloween with your favorite zoo friends and pretty views! Everyone dresses up (and layers up if it is one of those cooooold October nights!) and walks around to set up candy stations all around the zoo. They also have lots of Halloween decor, a pumpkin patch, and a haunted house. As a family, we dress up together every time and it is a bunch of fun! Half the fun is seeing all the other Halloween costumes that people wear. And most of the adults dress up too which really just creates a fun atmosphere!
