Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America’s ONLY mountain zoo. Large alpine habitats are home to over 950 different animals and approximately 180 species. All of your favorites are here – hippos, tigers, elephants, lions and bears (oh my!). New in 2015, the Zoo unveiled Australia Walkabout. The renovation includes a beautiful new budgie building, opportunity to bounce, bounce, bounce alongside the Zoo’s wallaby’s and the chance to see the only Matschie’s tree kangaroo in Colorado.
